After twenty-three years of working within a 2-mile radius of Mayfair, the last nine of which have been in a basement, I’ve recognised I need more from my life. So, I’ve put the flat on the market, met a wonderful man who’s willing to join me on my adventure and resigned from my job.
Now some may say this is the epitome of a mid-life crisis and all a little drastic but when I’ve not had a two-week holiday for nine years and my only view during the day is peoples’ shoes I’ve realised that I can’t continue in this vein. Please don’t get me wrong, I’m very partial to a shoe, but I’m finding myself aching to pull on my walking boots rather than heels. I’m feeling myself being drawn to the countryside away from the endless hustle and bustle of London.
I decided to begin this blog to catalogue this transition, I’m sure there are going to be many highs and lows and I’m hoping that by writing about my journey it will keep me sane and perhaps entertain anyone who is interested along the way.
